Preview of Activities

Membership/Chapter Management

Select five (5) activities, the first three (3) are required.

1. Required. Recruit three new paid members.(Upload a document containing the names of the new members recruited.)
2. Required. Prepare a Program of Work for your chapter.(Upload the Program of Work.)
3. Required. Participate in the Adopt-a-Chapter Program(Upload a photo and a letter – see linked guidelines.)
4. Conduct at least two chapter meetings and provide an agenda for each meeting.(Upload the agenda for each meeting.)
5. Document at least 25 community service hours of activities.(Complete the interactive community service tally form.)
6. Recruit a school official/administrator to participate in a chapter activity.(Upload a document with the name of the official/administrator and the chapter activity in which they participated.)
7. Submit a contribution to the National Scholarship Fund by April 1.(Complete the interactive form.)
8. Set a goal to increase membership and a percentage goal for retention of last year’s underclassmen. (Complete the interactive form.)
9. Create a Membership Committee to focus on new ways to bring in and retain members. (Upload a document containing the names of chapter members named to this committee.)
10. Host a event with another ML, FBLA or PBL chapter.(Upload a photo of the members playing a Get-To-Know you activity.)

Community/School Service

Select five (5) activities, the first two (2) are required.

11. Required. Create a committee to focus on developing a March of Dimes Project, an American Enterprise Project, or a community service project to benefit the community. (Upload a document containing the names of the chapter members on the committee and description of the project.)
12. Required. Have fundraiser/awareness event for the March of Dimes or an event to celebrate or create awareness for our American free enterprise system.(Upload a document describing the event and details about the event such as funds raised and response to the event.)
13. Conduct a chapter community service project.(Upload a document describing the Community Service Project and its impact.)
14. Plan a project to benefit your school and submit an article to the PBL Business Leader.(Complete the Project Activity Report form, upload a copy of a press release, and at least one scanned or digital photo.)
15. Conduct a project to either educate, promote, or raise money for the March of Dimes.(Complete the Project Activity Report form.)
16. Have your chapter create a brochure on social media safey or on proper social media etiquette. (Upload a copy of the brochure that you created.)
17. Invite a local or state representative or other community service representative to speak to your chapter on the importance of community service.(Upload a document containing the speaker's name, the speaker's affiliations, and a synopsis of the speaker's comments.)
18. Invite a businessperson to speak at a local chapter meeting or event. (Upload a document containing the speaker's name, the speaker's affiliations, and a synopsis of the speaker's comments.)
19. Prepare a local chapter Web site or social media page.(Upload a document containing the URL of the web site or social media page.)
20. Prepare a flyer promoting American Enterprise Day (November 15), World Prematurity Day (November 17), or another project from your chapter to benefit the community.(Upload a copy of the flyer.)

21. Required. Conduct a planning session for newly-elected local chapter officers.(Upload a document with the names of those in attendance and short synopsis of the meeting.)
22. Required. Prepare a chapter budget.(Upload a copy of the chapter budget.)
23. Submit at least one article with photos for the PBL Business Leader (PBL). All articles must be submitted online. (Submit the article online, and then upload a short summary of the article.)
24. Post a picture during FBLA-PBL Week of your chapter in your chapter shirts and include a 100-word essay on why it is important to belong to FBLA-PBL.(Upload a photo of your chapter and a 100 word essay.)
25. Plan and conduct activities for FBLA-PBL Week/National Career and Technical Education Week.(Upload a document describing the activities planned.)
26. Plan at least one activity for CTE Month in February that is different form the activities that your chapter planned for FBLA-PBL Week.(Upload a document describing the activities planned.)
27. Submit a press release of chapter competitors (include names of students, events entered, and events won) at the regional/district conference or from the last year’s state or national conference.(Upload a copy of the press release.)
28. Have at least one member attend the PBL Career Connections Conference and share what was learned at the conference with chapter. (Upload a document containing the name of the member who attended and a synopsis of the information shared at the chapter meeting.)
29. Organize a second semester business tour for chapter members who have all paid dues. (Upload a photo of the members taken during the business tour.)
30. At least one members attends the National Leadership Conference (NLC).(Upload a document containing the name of at least one member who attended the NLC.)
